PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is a kind of plastic frequently used for irrigation piping, main supply lines, drainage pipes, and swimming pools and spas. Schedules are the various thicknesses that PVC pipes are available in. The schedules 40 and 80 of PVC are the most popular. The walls are thicker the higher the schedule. PVC of Schedule 40 is the most popular kind. Schedule 80 PVC can withstand greater pressure since it is thicker and tougher. PVC is often exclusively utilized for cold water pipes since hot water might ultimately degrade the plastic. When exposed to the heat and UV rays of the sun, it can also deteriorate. Before utilizing PVC pipes, always verify your local codes.
